When I decided that I wanted to become a CPA it became easier for me to study and to focus on a ,Master’s degree in accounting. Studying for the CPA exam also became easier. I had a goal.
Sometimes when you make your decisions, things will happen to help you reach that goal. In my case an acquaintance of mine opened a new women’s ready-to-wear. I went to her open house and she asked me what I was doing. I told her I was going back to school to become an accountant.
She asked if I wanted a job because she needed a bookkeeper. I, of course, said yes. So, I got experience while I was working on my degree.
