YOU and YOUR MONEY must be on alert!
YOU must identify the fraudsters, scammers, and other rotten people before they steal your money.
You do have the ability to know when something is a fake. Some fakes are obvious, even blatant. Some are meant to entertain. And some, well some are meant to steal your money.
How can you identify the fraudsters, scammers, and other rotten people who perpetuate frauds and swindles? It’s gotten more difficult with the web that the Internet has created.
There’s an old saying, ““If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.”
That means …
There is no Nigerian prince who wants you to help him get his money out of Nigeria. Nor does he love you and want to marry you.
You are not the heir to a fortune left to you by a long lost cousin you have never heard of.
You have not won the Irish sweepstakes, especially since you didn’t buy a ticket.
Work at home and earn $6,325 each week is bogus.
The IRS is not calling you.
Amazon does not text or call you that someone has charged $1,929 for a computer. Nor does the IRS text, phone or email you. It is a snail mailer.
You have not won the Canadian lottery and you should never send anyone
money that needs it for processing the transfer to you.A relative has not been kidnapped, a grandson has not lost his wallet and is
stranded in a big city, and a good friend does not need your help to get home
from a foreign country. The scammers know the above pitches work—
duping millions of people just like you!The odds are that you have gotten at least a couple of these emails or phone calls. And it is likely that you have received the identical pitch more than once. Scratching your head, you may ask yourself: Why do I keep getting them?
Simply this: The scammers know they work.Hang up and block the number. DO NOT RESPOND to the SENDER.
For emails, block the sender and delete. DO NOT RESPOND to the SENDER.
